As a very important equipment in the whole mixer, the mixing drum plays an important role in mixing concrete and changing the softness of concrete. The following is the structure of its mixing drum
1. : the shell of the whole mixing drum is a variable cross-section and asymmetric double cone, which looks like a pear shape. The cone at the bottom section is short, the end face is closed and welded with a flange, and is connected with the reducer by bolts through the connecting flange. The transition part of the upper cone has an annular raceway, which is welded on the plane circumference perpendicular to the axis of the mixing drum. The whole mixing drum is obliquely lying on the three-point support structure composed of the reducer shell fixed on the frame and a pair of support rollers through the connecting flange and the annular raceway, and the reducer drives it to rotate smoothly around its axis. At the upper part of the circumference of the mixing drum raceway, a steel belt guard is usually set to limit the upward jumping of the mixing drum when traveling from the loading mixer.
2. Internal structure: it is different from the internal structure of double cone and pear mixer, which is designed to meet the process requirements of reverse unloading and feed mixing without tipping at a single barrel opening. Two continuous ribbon spiral blades are symmetrically welded along the inner wall from the opening to the bottom of the mixing drum. When the mixing drum rotates, the two blades are driven to spiral around the axis of the mixing drum, which is the fundamental device for mixing or unloading concrete by the mixing drum. In addition, in order to strengthen the mixing effect, an auxiliary mixing blade is added between the two spiral blades at the middle and lower part of the mixing cylinder.
3. Barrel mouth structure of mixing drum: a section of feed pipe is welded along the inner edges of two spiral blades, and its structure is shown in the figure. The feed conduit and the cylinder wall are separated into inner and outer parts in the form of concentric circles. The conduit in the central part is the feed inlet, and the concrete is loaded into the mixing cylinder of the charging mixer. The annular space formed by the conduit and the cylinder wall is the discharge outlet. From the end face of the discharge outlet, it is divided into two parts by two spiral blades. During unloading, the concrete flows out from here under the push of the reverse spiral movement of the blades.
